Formed in Kuopio, Finland in 1998, DE LIRIUM’S ORDER explore the genre of technical death metal by drawing inspiration from thrash and progressive metal. The band combines grinding blast beats, technical riffs, catchy thrash-lines, obscure melodies and manic guitars leading to death metal onslaught. The current line-up consists of musicians from acts like Abbath, Omnium Gatherum and Raskasta Joulua.
DE LIRIUM’S ORDER often intertwine extraordinary and world-altering occurrences with their music. Books, news and stories of such incidents inspire the lyrics that support the band’s chaotic yet sophisticated musical journey. These document the world with a fictive touch taking no political stance nor desiring to do more than embark the listener on an artistic thought provoking journey.
After signing a contract with Woodcut Records in 2003, the band released their debut album Victim No. 52 in 2004. The album received praising response from both critics and death metal fans worldwide. Further developing their style to refine their technical death metal identity, the band released Diagnosis through Shadow World Records in 2007. The album reached #30 on the Finnish Charts.
Renewing their lineup in 2010, the band released their third studio album Veniversum in March 2012. Veniversum went on to be praised by fans and media alike as one of the finest and thought out Finnish metal released of all-time, and quickly exposed the band to a variety of shows and touring opportunities, such as Tuska Festival, and Nummirock. The album even reached a #10 position on the Finnish Indie Charts. The music video for the single Autistic Savant went viral, gathering over 100k views.
After a long yet passionate process, the band’s fourth album Singularity was finally born. With a new direction following the both, technical and physical, futuristic concept of singularity, the band created an explorative album. Singularity also has guest appearances of renowned musicians such as Ukri Suvilehto (Abbath, Whispered), Mikael Salo (Dyecrest, Metal De Facto), and Viivi-Maria Saarenkylä (Finland’s Accordeonist Of The Year 2018).
The album contains nine powerful songs which were produced by Juha Kupiainen and Tuomas Yli-Jaskari at Sonic Pump Studios. The cover artwork for Singularity was made by the talented light artist Hannu Huhtamo.
